RCS VG Claw

$10.00

 Product Description

Buy more, save more - Click on the bulk order tab below to see the price schedule.

Sold individually. Mounting hardware is not included.

The RCS VG Claw is designed to mount below the trigger guard and is used to leverage the grip of the pistol close to the body, while still allowing for a clean, repeatable draw.  The mounting holes on the Claw are 1.5cm center to center.  These will mate perfectly with the RCS spacers and tuckable struts available through DIY Holster.

Claw's are all the rage in the holster industry these days, but just like belt loops, claws made out of sheet stock are prone to stress fractures and failures.  These injection molded Claws from RCS will not have that problem.

The claw was the one thing I have been missing. Can carry a full size M&P with no printing.

  2. Great Product 5 Star Review

These work great for AIWB and are a must for all of my holsters.

  3. what's printing 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Dec 2016

I completely modified a bladetech Klipt ambi holster. Not only with the claw but with a soft loop and strut. Holy cow! What a difference the claw especially has made. I don't have a six pack so appendix is not ideal for me right, well not anymore. I don't have to wear big t-shirts or worry about printing anymore. I'd recommend it to anyone.

  4. best aftermaket add on for kydex holsters 5 Star Review

It does everything you need for a kydex holster. Best add on yet!

  5. RCS VG Claw 5 Star Review

Installed the claw on my skeleton holster and it made such a difference in how it conceals and comfort. I'll be putting one on all my iwb holsters going forward!

  6. Simple. Inexpensive. Useful. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Dec 2016

I'll admit that I had my doubts about The Claw, but I've been proven wrong. It actually does what it says it does...I'm sold. I won't carry AIWB without one ever again.

DIY accidentally sent me a left-handed model and when I called and left a mssg I got an email within a day and a new Claw within a couple more...awesome. I gave the lefty piece to a southpaw buddy of mine and he's a fan now too.

    Thanks, DIY.

  7. Replaces sheet-stock 'claw' that failed 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Oct 2016

I purchased this to replace a 'claw' made of sheet stock that failed within three weeks of everyday use due to stress fractures. This part is much sturdier than the sheet stock, and I have high hopes that it will last much longer. So far, in daily use for two+ weeks, it's holding up.

I'm carrying a double-stack 9mm, so the handle is much thicker than a single-stack, and the use of this Claw has made printing a thing of the past in AIWB carry for me, even under a T-shirt. If your holster will accept this part or can be modified to accept it, your results may be as good as mine!

  8. 2 stars because it's an rcs part and not a diy part 2 Star Review

If it was a diy made part it would get 5 stars. Works great.

  9. It is what it is. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Aug 2016

I bought this to add onto a cheap kydex IWB appendix holster I bought off amazon. The width of screw holes matched so I was able to add this claw to help hide the pistol grip from printing when wearing a t-shirt. It worked!

  10. good but not great 3 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Aug 2016

This product leverages the holster so that the grip angles into the body, however it is not as pronounced of an effect as what I anticipated. As well, it does add some perceivable bulk to the holster. I purchased 3 of them, and have tried utilizing them in different configurations on my holsters, but I do not feel that I'll purchase them again. While they work decently, I feel like there is likely a more effective/comfortable solution.
