The RCS VG Claw is designed to mount below the trigger guard and is used to leverage the grip of the pistol close to the body, while still allowing for a clean, repeatable draw. The mounting holes on the Claw are 1.5cm center to center. These will mate perfectly with the RCS spacers and tuckable struts available through DIY Holster.
Claw's are all the rage in the holster industry these days, but just like belt loops, claws made out of sheet stock are prone to stress fractures and failures. These injection molded Claws from RCS will not have that problem.

If you would like to carry at the appendix position, don't even try it till you buy one of these. They can easily be put on any minimalist kydex iwb holster. I have them on my vedder lighttuck holsters, just drilled an extra hole and done. They make a world of difference, honestly. Makes appendix way more comfortable and 10x more concealable. Make sure you have a good gun belt.
I am toying with their use at the 3-4 o'clock position as well. I'd say it's a toss up there because it will cant the butt in but the slide out since your side is round.. It's also pretty wide so it would depend on your weapon size and body shape. Smaller guns, would work. Full size, prob better without it.

The RCS Vanguard claw works perfect with an AWIB holster. Its durable and keeps the pistol grip concealed. I really appreciate the excellent customer service of DIY holster.

This works perfectly with the Phlster Skeleton and pushes the grip tight to my body without being uncomfortable or adding any noticeable bulk. Makes concealing with lighter clothes mush easier. Been wearing for a couple of weeks, all day every day, and I can't say a negative thing about it.

This is a well made product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Just wish it came with mounting hardware.

I put one of these on my PHLster "Skeleton" holster about a month ago. I was a little disappointed since it really just made the top of my gun print instead of the bottom.
Just tonight I added a RCS Eidolon Wedge to that same holster and now for the first time I can actually conceal a gun well in the appendix position!
I give this product four stars since it really didn't do anything for me on its own but it was great in conjunction with the Eidolon Wedge. Get both if you're having difficulty concealing AIWB!

We have been avidly utilizing these claws in only appendix in the waistband holsters. Carrying appendix has proven its advantageous capabilities in all aspects and this wing accentuates its user serviceability. This claw minimizes printing by providing a second point of contact on the inside of the belt line which allows the pistol grip to align to the natural contour of your body. We found that this product has minimal limitations due to its rigid plastic injection molding properties vs.the popular kydex formed wings.
Thanks DIY and RCS for a great product!!

We just recently started adding these on our AIWB holsters do to a request from a few customers. I have to saw they do make a difference in the concealment. The only negative I have to say is that only one of the holes is recessed on the back side. If they were both recessed it would allow for the slotted posts to be recessed for mounting on the rear of the holster instead of the front. Other than that it is a quality product.

Easy set-up and really helps with printing!

I saw these on FB gun groups and people said they worked at helping to conceal your handgun better. So when I ordered some new holster clips I got got 1 Claw also. I should have bought 2.
It really does work by your belt pushing against the claw to help push the grip into your body more

Great item for those who have "printing" issues carrying concealed. Pushes the pistol into your body so the pistol grip "prints" less under clothing. Helps esp for us with normal to skinnier frames trying to hide full size duty pistols (I.E., Sig's).
