The RCS Belt Claw is designed to mount beside the trigger guard and is used to leverage the grip of the pistol close to the body, while still allowing for a clean, repeatable draw. The mounting holes on the Claw are 1.5cm center to center and are designed to mount with a tapered head machine screw.
Claw's are all the rage in the holster industry these days, but just like belt loops, claws made out of sheet stock are prone to stress fractures and failures. These injection molded Claws from RCS will not have that problem.
"The RCS Belt Claw is used to leverage the grip of the pistol close to the body, while still allowing for a clean, repeatable draw. Take concealability to the next level. The Belt Claw mounts to the side of the trigger guard area and juts out toward the belt line. As the belt is tightened, it pushes against the Claw and levers the grip of the weapon into the body. The shape of the Claw is designed to blend into the lines of the holster shell for comfort. The serrations on the face of the Claw are meant to “grab” the pants material to minimize holster movement, but are blunted to prevent damage to clothing. Belt Claws can be mounted angled up or down to best make contact with the belt line in any cant or configuration for both right and left handed shooters."
