Great die set for Kydex brass eyelets, thanks DIY Holsters! No split eyelets, perfect curl every time! I just drilled a hole in a 2x4 for the bottom/female die, and inserted the top/pointy die in my drill press chuck and it works perfectly like an arbor press! FYI, The point on my set was 1mm too long and got mashed /shiny in my 1st pressing, I sanded it off with belt sander in 5 seconds and everything works perfectly!

    Eyelet Dies

These dies scratched and even nicked when using on standard grommets for holsters. Did not produce even curl around grommet edge.

DIY response: it sounds to me like you possibly received a bad set of dies. If you contact us at we'd be happy to try to fix the problem for you

I use this by hand 3/8 hole in block of wood to hold the bottom steady, hit the top with a hammer. Works for me, good deal

Best-Buy. The low-price & free shipping make these dies the best buy.

The DIY-Holster dies work very well. I'm new when it comes to Kydex, and I have not had a single problem using these dies. I've read about eyelets splitting, but I have not had a single problem. I actually tried to split one by really mashing down on it with my Arbor press.

So here's how I got started. I found a half ton Arbor Press on-sale at Harbor Freight, and I used the 20% off coupon. The Arbor press cost me about $17.00. I watched a few You-tube videos on how to do this. I used a 3/8" drill bit and my drill press to drill a hole in the Arbor Press ram. The steel on the Arbor Press Ram is fairly soft, and was easy to drill; just add a bit oil (any oil will work) to the drill bit, and put a bit more in the hole as you drill. You could also do this with a hand drill. My project turned out perfect, but I don't believe it needs 100% precision. These are not reloading dies, and all you are doing is rolling over the edge of an eyelet. The take away here is that these dies work very well, and are easy to use. Good luck.

Work excellent I get a clean press every time using with an arbor press. Makes riveting very easy. Costs a lot less than other websites selling similar dies. I recommend
