Boltaron 4335 is a extruded sheet material with very similar working and performance characteristics to Kydex.  It is used as an alternative to Kydex by some of the largest holster makers in the world.  The finish is not as matte as Kydex, but the price is worth it.  To make our material easy to work with we have a special cap layer applied to our Boltaron to prevent the material from curling when heated.  If you've used Boltaron in the past and gave up on it because it would curl up in your oven, try this stuff!

Very High Quality materials , on this order I also ordered other other colors with a 8x8 inch cuts. I am extremely pleased with the above mentioned and am PLEASED to tell all that may read this review of its quality and mirrored customer service. From the time that I ordered to the time it shipped far surpassed any other vendors I have used before. I strongly recommend my go to vendor.

    great material, great price

As a new thermoformer, cost weighs in on every supply purchase. Quality material at a low price is a great way to jump start a business and make customers happy.

Moldable at lower temperatures than Kydex, and takes a polished edge easiers.

The title basically explains it. In my experience, Boltaron can produce great definition at lower temperatures than Kydex (less than 300F,) and the edges buff and polish to a glossy edge with less effort.

I'm not sure if DIY has a different formula of Boltaron than other places from which I have purchased, but this particular batch did not curl up on me (which Boltaron is known to do.)

So all in all, I am very happy with my purchase, and will most likely purchase more (if DIY can stock some .093 and .125, that would really seal the deal.
